Jobing Description
This position is focused on repair and troubleshooting high speed, high volume, highly automated packaging equipment and processes. Candidates must be ale to work a rotating shift and some weekends.
There are two positions available due to growth of our Sugar business. We are looking for highly technical and skilled individuals in both electronics and mechanics. The successful candidate should be familiar with mechanical timing and PLC in a highly automated facility.
Skills / Requirements
Qualifications:
1. No less than ten (3) years of experience repairing and/or maintaining packaging machinery, and robotic equipment.
2. Pass Tests at level established by test provider Scientific Management Techniques, Inc or similar Company.
Employee must also have:
Strong electronic background in industrial process control using 24 VDC and 4-20 ma control loops.
Must be capable of basic AC/DC circuit analysis.
Shall have the understanding of programmable logic controllers. Proficiency with common industrial instrumentation.
Thorough understanding of 120/240 VAC wiring practices.
Strong troubleshooting abilities, analytical and mechanical skills.
Installation and repair of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders, solenoid valves and other related components.
Repair or install fiber optic cable, coaxial or other communication related equipment.
Ability to read instrument, electrical and control drawings.
Must be responsible, organized and ale to work with limited supervision.
Must be able to work independently as well as value being a team player.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics. Install, examine, replace or repair GRS conduit, EMT conduit, PVC conduit, lighting, electrical wiring, grounding, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, starters, controllers, VFDs, relays, fuses, coils and other electrical components.
Follow strict safety procedures when repairing or installing single phase and three phase power distribution systems related to 120/208/240/277/480 and 4160 voltages.
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems, fire alarm, intercom, security and other related devices.
Make necessary repairs as quickly and safely as possible to minimize downtime.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems as pertaining to motor starters and typical industrial interlocking schemes.
Must be responsible, self-motivated, dependable, good work ethic, organized, safety conscious, and able to work with limited supervision.
